I recently began a project to revamp my bathroom. The room wasn’t necessarily in bad condition, it just lacked any interesting features. Besides that, it lacks any natural light, so needed to be bright and shiny to provide the illusion of having light. The bath and shower area featured some ugly titles with floral motifs and the side of the bath was clad with dark wood, which also boxed in pipework around the walls.

I began by painting the tiles with a couple of coats of tile paint (in satin white).

I then primed the dark woodwork around the bath with Crown Multi Surface Primer & Undercoat. This would give the top coat a good foundation to stick to.

For the top coat I chose a light grey colour with a gloss finish. I wanted a gloss finish, so that the woodwork would reflect light and help the bathroom feel brighter.
